On November 9, 2010, Ira Flatow will be honored with the Nierenberg Prize for Science in the Public Interest at an award ceremony at Scripps Institution of Oceanography.The Nierenberg Prize for Science in the Public Interest was created to honor the memory of William A. Nierenberg, who was Director of UC San Diego’s Scripps Institution of Oceanography for 21 years.

The weekend of September 25 – 26, TalkingScience presented three performances of the Rock-It Science Cabaret, a science variety show featuring scientists and performers illustrating principles of physics, chemistry, and biology. We had a blast sharing music and science fun with the kids and families visiting World Maker Faire at the New York Hall of Science.
